Night Markets
The marches nocturnes or ‘night markets’ are a very popular tradition in the Dordogne and take place in July and August. Each village sets out long tressle tables and benches in its centre and these are surrounded by local artisans selling freshly prepared food dishes, cheeses, bread, wine etc.
Most have live music or some form of entertainment and are fun for all the family. Just turn up, grab a place to sit and have fun!
St Leon sur Vézère
Thursdays from 18.30hrs
This is our favourite. Always has live music in front of the Mairie. Good selection of food and a great atmosphere.
Aubas
Wednesdays from 19.00hrs
A bit of a walk from the car park, but through the pretty village streets and there are usually several stalls selling souvenirs.
